Fall Back to the City
It’s finally October and we are seeing such beautiful clothes coming to the studio. All kinds of jackets, sweaters, cords, and dark jeans. Beautiful evening pieces too. Everyone is getting ready for the season. We are also seeing a lot of vintage pieces people have bought that need some extra love. October really is the beginning of the most exciting few months.
We have a few closet cleanups that we’re excited about and lots and lots of appointments with old and new clients. As always, thank you for making us part of your support team. We love it.
Here is what we’re doing when we’re not working:
To Watch and See:

There is so much good stuff this Fall. If you still haven’t bought tickets to Inter Alia, do it this second. It’s such a short run, it won Rosamund Pike a few best actress awards, and it was a runaway success in London.
Also in the world of new musicals, there is a new and gorgeous show: Wanted, a musical about twin black sisters who pass as white and become outlaws. It’s beautiful and moving. Our good friend Fiona Rudin has nurtured both of these shows onto Broadway—so look for our Q&A with Fiona in an upcoming insta post.
Some major, major art shows are happening in New York this fall. No reason to stay home with shows like Krasner and Pollock: Past Continuous at the Met starting Oct. 4th and Brancusi: The Art and His Studio at the MoMA starting Oct. 25th.
If you want to stay cozy at home there is still lots to look forward to. Starting with War on HBO with Sienna Miller and Dominic West. I’m still deeply into Slow Horses on Apple TV, of course. But personally, I can’t wait for The Social Reckoning with Jeremy Strong as an older Mark Zuckerberg and Mikey Madison. A long overdue follow up to, The Social Network, and again written by Aaron Sorkin.
To Read:

I didn’t want to, but I read Calamity Club and loved it. Also, Look What You Made Me Do by John Lancaster. I love his writing and really enjoyed the book, but it made me realize why it’s so important to have a likable hero or heroine because this one didn’t. Next up in the reading dept? Kate Atkinson, Our Noble Selves and London Falling: A Mysterious Death in a Gilded City.
Speaking of reading, do you read Editors at Large? Kate Betts and Michael Boodro are two long time editors that have their fingers on the pulse of what’s happening. In a world where everyone has a Substack and wants to explain how to tuck in your shirt ad nauseam, this is smart, informative and funny.
To Buy:

I’m always trying to be more organized and honestly will try anything if it helps the organization of my handbag. This little gem really made a difference. The Double eyeglass case. Who knew this even existed.
After reading about La Nouvelle Peau in Editors At Large I had to try it. I’m truly obsessed, already on my second jar and just bought the 28 day Ampoules to try. It sounds French, but it’s a Korean line and there is a visible difference. I’m also currently using Dr. Diamond’s Metacine and their Contour Collection LipLift . It visibly plumps up your lips which of course I’m a big fan of.
